A few days later the storm, heralded by those cirrus clouds, hit the west coast of France. Fortunately by this time we had already left the island.

I´ve just returned from a wonderful trip to Brittany, France. During which I spent a week on the island of Ouessant or, as it is mentioned on the BBC shipping forecast, Ushant. The Bay of Biscay is well known for it´s treacherous weather and this island certainly has a very tricky coast for shipping! It can be reached by a roughly 2 hour ferry trip from Brest.
