Queen Charlotte Sound, South Island, New Zealand

The ferry sails from Wellington on the North Island to Picton on the South. Picton is a fair way down Queen Charlotte Sound, and the journey to it allows for good views of the hills on either side. The weather had turned a bit bleak at this stage but, if anything, it seemed to add to the atmosphere.
